The Pizazz Behind Zio: A Powerful Video Wall Processor

The Zio 4000 video wall

You may be asking yourself, "What is a video wall processor, and why do I need it?"

While video wall technology may be complex, their usage is straightforward: video walls are the solution to a significant challenge: how to display information to both large and small audiences in a dynamic and adaptable manner. Video walls allow displaying a magnitude of content coming from multiple sources as well as providing an elevated experience, making this information more impactful.

Video wall processors give you the power and flexibility to deploy video walls beyond standard 2x2 (or 3x3) grids—even let you have various-sized displays like you are creating your video wall "canvas" piece of digital art. Content resolution is also crucial. Not so long ago, 1080p (HD) was considered the best quality ever, yet nowadays it is 'ok,' with 4K being the king. So, you want to ensure your video wall processor supports high enough resolution, but more importantly, it can keep up as technology advances.

We know that every video wall processor is different – and there are many options available – but here's why we think the Zio is the "bees-knees" and has all our customers raving about its power, reliability, and ease of use.

Display and Distribute Your Data

The Zio 4000 is the first full-function video wall processor integrated with an enterprise-class Video-over-IP distribution platform. With up to 16 outputs at 4K/60Hz, Zio can control and manage up to 16 LED 4K video walls, providing that pizazz to everyone watching it. With Zio, organizations can accelerate collaboration by sharing audio and information-rich visual displays across a single room, throughout a campus, between multi-site organizations, and over the internet. You can also share the same information simultaneously (mimicking a video wall) to various locations. For example, with a simple drag and drop, users can distribute a CEO's speech to show across all facilities. With Zio, the solution distributes video from baseband and IP sources across LANs, and WANs to displays, video walls, mobile devices, and tablets.

Your Content on the Go

Although we are all connected, we are also miles apart. Operating disparate teams, coordinating with different agencies, and leveraging real-time intelligence is essential. RGB Spectrum has solved this problem with our Zio platform. Now users can deliver a video wall mimicking a conference room meeting to the traveling CEO. Or we can share video content from a transportation control room of a damaged guard rail and send it to the maintenance crew. The main transportation control room monitors the situation live. It can report back on any PSAs or direct orders to ensure the city and location are safe again. With that information, the maintenance crew can access the situation and arrive at that site prepared with the necessary tools and support to address the issue.

Beautifully Built

The new Zio provides a built-in, one-of-a-kind browser-based graphical user interface requiring no software installation or ongoing upgrades to workstations. In addition, the system is designed for ease of use with its drag and drop interface, eliminating the need for training. We are all friends here! Zio is an open-standard operating system that can welcome third-party sources, IP cameras, and streaming servers. And Zio uses standard 1GbE, eliminating the need for proprietary networking hardware or firmware.
