RGB Spectrum Showcases the SuperView 4K Multiviewer at NAB 2013
RGB Spectrum is proud to announce that its SuperView® 4K multiviewer was used to demonstrate 4K windowing at the 2013 NAB Convention in Las Vegas, April 8-11. With 4K technology taking the spotlight as the dominant NAB theme, RGB Spectrum partnered with professional display manufacturer Planar to introduce the SuperView 4K multiviewer. As the only 4K windowing demonstration of its kind at the convention, RGB Spectrum underscored the value-added capability of a multiviewer in the emerging 4K workflow.
Using the SuperView 4K processor as the front end to Planar's 84" UltraRes™ 4K professional display, RGB Spectrum demonstrated both 2K and 4K windows on the eight megapixel canvas, with the ability to size, position, and set priority for all windows.
When combined with 4K monitors and 4K projectors, the SuperView 4K processor creates a new generation of multiviewers. Based on RGB Spectrum's high performance, real-time architecture, users can connect both 2K and 4K video and computer sources, and display up to eight windows in any desired layout. The processor supports graphic signals up to 1920x1200, HD video inputs up to 2048x1080, and Ultra HD signals (e.g., 3840x2160 and 4096x2160). In addition, using RGB Spectrum's Single-Point KvM option, users can interact with any computer source on the 4K screen with a single mouse and keyboard.
RGB Spectrum's 4K windowing exhibit attracted a lot of attention at NAB, with keen interest from the post-production, graphics, digital signage and teleconferencing communities. Jed Deame, Vice President of Marketing for RGB Spectrum, commented on the NAB introduction. "For the post-production and graphics communities in particular, the SuperView 4K multiviewer sparked tremendous interest at NAB," said Deame. "These are key areas in which 4K workflow is proven, and our multiviewer enables both 2K and 4K content to be displayed simultaneously on one screen. Effectively, we've added a new dimension of value to the edit suite and the screening room."
Meeting today's demand for the highest resolution possible, the SuperView 4K multiviewer delivers unequalled performance, reliability, and robustness - with eight million pixels of creative workspace at your fingertips.
